Merit Based Shop
QBC is a merit shop. What is a merit shop? A merit shop is a non-union shop.
We follow the merit shop philosophy because we believe career trajectory should be determined by a person’s skills, attitude, and drive to succeed, and not by time on the job.
We have nothing against union shops, it’s just a difference in philosophy. QBC partners with both union and non-union contractors.
Our History
QBC was founded in 1998 with a "get sh*t done" mentality. As a result, we've grown into one of the leading multi-scope subcontractors in the region, with a state-of-the-art 7,500 sq. ft. office and a 27,000 sq. ft. fabrication shop in DeForest, Wisconsin.
The clients we supported early on have grown in leaps and bounds. Projects have grown in scale from residential, to multi-family, to huge multi-million-dollar developments. Our clients often book us years in advance to ensure they secure our services.
